ROC I-751 - Biometric Services location

Here's a quote that has confused me on the I-751:

Biometric Services Appointment - After receiving your petition and ensuring completeness, USCIS will inform you in

writing when to go to your local USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for your biometrics services appointment.

Failure to attend the biometrics services appointment may result in denial of your petition.

Does this mean that my ex-wife has to physically show up to a "local ASC" center for biometrics?

Is this mandatory in all I-751 applications? Where are these "local Application Support Centers"?

Yes, she has to physically go....how else would she get biometrics?

As the communication you posted says, USCIS will send you a letter telling you exactly when and where to go. If you're curious, locations can be found here: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=ASC

A quick look on USCIS website and the form instructions for the I-751 indicate that the $85 biometrics fee and follow-through on appointment are necessary for all conditional residents filling out the I-751.

This means that the person who is getting the new green card will have to go to an ASC to get their picture and fingerprints taken for an FBI background check. So if your ex-wife is the immigrant, then yes she will have to show up in person.

The appointment letter that you will recieve will have the adderss of the assigned ASC and the time. You can walk-in early and have the biometrics done as long as they have the time and you bring the appointment letter. If you fail to show up in person by the day of the appointed time your petition will be denied.

Second part of this question:

My ex-wife now lives in another state here in the U.S. I guess we have to notify USCIS about her new location. Does this have to be done and verified by USCIS BEFORE she sends her I-751 application?
