Hi all - probably a stupid question, but is the receipt number for the I130 the same as the NOA1??

I set up a tracking account on the USCIS website (which STILL shows processing times as of Sept 30th) and am just wondering.

Filed I130 Nov 8, receipt number received Nov 21.

VJ says Texas Service centre currently processing May 2013 filers - hope this means they're speeding up.

On the top of the receipt number page it says: Form I-797C, Notice of Action

This is why we call this notification from the USCIS - NOA1- and then the approval or denial notice - NOA2.

Thanks all - my husband got the letter, I hadn't actually seen what it looked like, he just sent me the receipt number.

I appreciate the clarification.

Fingers crossed everyday for improvement in processing times!!
