I received the letter from NVC that our case has been forwarded to the Juarez Consulate. I am getting ready to go visit my fiancee and will be taking copies of all documents to include the 1-29f petition and everything that was included and the Notice of Actions that I've received from the USCIS and NVC. But I do have one question, on the list of things that she will need for her interview it says to bring "Divorce Certificate for both her and the US Citizen.

Do I need to bring her my divorce certificate since it was already sent with the original I-129f petition?

I've also read to bring documentation if it wasn't originally included with the petiton packet.

Any thoughts?

Better safe than sorry. Send it with her. If they don't need to see it, at least you know you were prepared. And that's much better than them asking and her not having it.

When my husband went for his K1 interview, he had both of our divorce certificates in a backup folder. We had sent them with the I-129f packet, and the London Embassy didn't ask him for them, but better safe than sorry....

Agree with ChicagoSarah.

I have gotten into the habit of putting all original documents in plastic page savers (ACCO), available at many stores. I have made good color laser copies of all of the originals. Submitted copies, when appropriate. At both the K-1/K-2 visas and AOS interviews, I brought ALL of the original docs and copies, and any other evidence. The IO can examine the original, compare the copy to it, and keep the copy for their records as necessary. It has served us well thus far.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I would recommend the same as the other VJers... by the way, how did you receive the letter from NVC, via email or postal mail? Also, on your signature, it should be "Ciudad Juárez" not "Cuidad Juarez" just in case you want to change it dancin5hr.gif good luck and congrats!!! almost there :)
