Is there anyone who has a sample letter to write to the congressman? It's been 284 days for me also and uscis tell me not to bug them for another 3 months. I know they say senators can't do much when it comes to background check issues but I am so desperate at this point.

My advise to you is to go directly to your congressman office and speak to the person in charge of immigration related issues and they will ask you to fill a release form and provide information about the case etc so they can talk on your behalf. Go in person if you can :-)

Hello everyone just to give you a little update. I finally received my marriage certicate that USCIS wanted. I had to get it translated and shipped it out express on Thursday. NSC received on Friday and has updated the system that response to rfe received and being reviewed. Am keeping my fingers cross at this point, and praying for everyone else.

Good, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. hopefully you will not have to wait long on RFE :-)

A new week started.Hope hear something in this week.

Wishing you the best, I hope you hear good news soon on your case ;-)

I feel better and am keeping positive for good news soon. On the plus side for us, we don't plan on moving to the US until sometime between June - September 2015, and I am hopeful that we will still be able to make that time frame. Thank God I put the i-130 in last December! I'm so glad we decided to stay another year in Abu Dhabi! Otherwise, waiting for this to come through would have been more agony than it already is! I feel for those of you who are separated from your loved ones.

No one will hear anything today, I wouldn't think, as it's Columbus Day. :)

Good plan, stay positive, bring good karma to you, hope you don't have to wait too long :-)

I thought I would just update to say I got an email today saying our I-130 has been approved!!!! FINALLY!!! Amazingly my email says the decision was made October 11, but I only just got the email today. Also interesting that it finally moved forward within days of my filing a service request, getting my senator involved and kicking up a general fuss.

Those of you who are still waiting, I hope you hear some good news very very soon!

Congratulation on your approval Mellylamelle , can you please tell me how did you reach out to the Senator and Representative? Did you fill out a form and e-mailing to them or did you fax it over? which link did you use for Ombudsman? sorry with all these question, I would greatly appreciated for a help! Thank you!

Hi, ShaMarshie,

First thing I did was call USCIS and submit a service request. Then after looking around here I realized calling the Senator might be a good idea, so I called one of my State Senator's office. They sent me a form to sign saying they could get info on my behalf. I signed it and emailed it back along with a letter explaining my husband's and my situation. I then googled "USCIS Ombudsman" and found a page where you can fill out a form requesting help. I filled it out and explained our situation there. I then called USCIS again and asked to speak to a Tier 2 supervisor. It took me FIVE HOURS due to getting hung up on multiple times but eventually I did speak to one. I didn't do all of this on the same day but I did do it all last week!

It's so exciting to see everyone finally getting approved. Those who are still waiting are going to be around the corner soon. I was wondering if anyone has recieved their physical NOA 2 yet. I live outside the USA and have not recieved it yet. I also contacted the NVC to ask if they have recieved my file and they stated that it could take up to 35 days to recieve the file from USCIS. Any info, please share

It took about 7 days to receive our NO2 here in France. Altough our petition was approved on Sept 24 they did not mail the letter until Sept 30.
