Sugesstion plzzzzz....Processing K1 visa while H-1B is going to be processed

Guys my fiancee n me were planning for this since long n now finally we are getting ready fo file K1 visa on 20th od Dec. in the mean my employers offered me job in the US and will process my H-1B visa from Feb 2014... I wanted to seek your opinion that will it be ok to file H-1B visa while K1 is already filed 2months ago???

I'm not sure it's the best idea. It gives off the impression that you filed for the k1 visa for other intentions than getting married to your fiancee, specially with the really short interval of only 2 months between visa filings. Isn't there a way for you to convince your employer to hold the job in the US until you get there and be eligible to work?

Its really better to do one at a time but i know that my company will not hold the position for me for more than 1.5yrs because untill i get k1 n i get eligible to work will take quite some time... M stuck in the mid dont know which boat to sail

tuff decision but you really should only do one visa at a time, it doesnt look good on the record with having many applications,,

Having 2 applications is not a problem and doesn't look like fraud. I think the K-1 will come in quicker though, as long as short processing times keep up, because you'll have to wait until next year for the H1B. Furthermore, I think it unlikely that a company will want to pay for your work visa when you have the ability to get to the US on a K-1 visa. But, if they want to pay, go ahead. H1B is dual intent so there is no problem to use it for work and also to marry your gf. Good luck.
