Hello,

Is there anyone out there who has the same situation with me? We were interviewed last October 03, 2013. My daughter and I are K1 and K2 applicants. We were placed under the 221g because they want the original birth certificate of my daughter. I sent them the authenticated birth certificate of my daughter, it took them 5 weeks to inform me that it was not the document they were asking. So I immediately send them the original birth certificate and now it has been 10 days since they received the document.

My confusion is why in this whole delay my status says READY, meaning ready for an interview. I am passed that stage already.

Are there applicants out there who experienced this same situation?

Looking for answers out there and hopefully suggestions on how to deal with this and maybe ways to get answers on how can I have an update of our case now. There are no numbers to call which can give us an update of our case. Thanks so much.
