To hand-carry or not chest X-ray film to US POE?

Hi Everyone,

I finally got my CR1 visa approved!

Now that I have my passport and visa on hand and air tickets booked, I am wondering if I will have to hand-carry my gigantic chest x-ray film to my POE in Houston, or is it okay to just check-in in my luggage?

Thanks! :)

Luggage is ok, but probably easier to put in a roll tube, like the packet you will not want to loose it. It will most likely be reviewed by the CS in the US.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

i dont think that is a good idea as you will have to go through immigration before you collect your luggage and you need to hand that over to them when you are checking out....put it in your carryon luggage if you are taking one....if not bring it in your hand

I put my xray in my luggage (helps if you have a rectangular luggage)... I only took the doctor's notes that came with the xray with me through POE, but they did not ask for any health record at all. Keep your xray though.. my medical history (class B1 health category) meant that I was sent a letter some time after I arrived in the States to go for follow up medical stuff, but at POE, the health docs aren't really necessary.
