Just be patient. been reading from old posts and we still have a long way to go. :) We sent ours on Nov. 8 and so far, the latest we could see on USPS website is this "Depart USPS Sort Facility" (that was the 9th) ... I didn't know it's gonna take 2 weeks or more for our mail to be received by the USCIS. the post office guy encouraged my husband to do the Priority mail certified while I was insisting on the Express mail. The guy said it's gonna be there the 12th of Nov ( like 2 days ) and someone from USCIS will pick up all the mails..I called the USPS and they couldn't give me straight answer on "what's going on with the certified mail" but only gave me a case number which was useless anyway. until someone from the local post office finally explained to me that YES it will get there in 2 days BUT it depends WHEN will the USCIS representatives feel like getting my mail (which usually take 2 weeks) so yeah...for now, all we can do is wait... Good luck!

So my fiance mailed the petition on November 11 and up until now we havent received anything. I was expecting NOA1 would be less than a week or so but its been 2weeks and still nothing. I'm wondering what couldve been wrong. I'm losing hope and getting so impatient i just wanna get this over with so i can be with him. Has anyone else been on the same situation? Can anyone enlighten me please? Fiance would be checking with the usps on monday and will try to call uscis or whoever he needs to contact to ask about our petition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone! :)

Don't worry about it, I understand what you are going through, but there will be a lot more waiting, you just have to be patient..

This should be good news for you, Jason and Cams, when I went on my Interview to USEM, other k1 applicants got their petition approved in 3 months or less.. mine took about 4-5 months, and it took so long because no one really bothered notifying that we were approved, (i just learned about it when status in uscis became post-decision, and called the nvc..)

Now that they are transferring to other service centers, the process is surprisingly faster than before..

(8-10 months)

If you have questions, I would like to help you, you can message me anytime.. I'd like to pay it forward because a friend also helped me with all that i needed to prepare..

It can take a few weeks before receiving the NOA1. Did the petition get sent with tracking/signature required? Can he track whether the check has been cashed by USCIS?

Everything takes time... lots of patience ;)

any news for you? haven't got any USPS update with regards to our mail. We sent it Nov. 8th on Priority Certified mail (as per the USPS guy suggested instead of express mail) Dad said he got a return receipt from the post office but no signature so he had to return it to the post office and the lady took the receipt and sent a duplicate copy to Chicago post office for them to sign it. I am starting to get worried of what is happening to my packet ( all copies + the original medical are in that mail ) if it get lost, what do I need to do? esp with the medical records? Thanks
