Waiting for Interview letter

Hello VJers,

My petition has been approved, and sent to the Mumbai Consulate by the NVC on Nov. 7th. My Fiancee is yet to receive any letter in mail or email regarding the interview information/date. We have completed the DS-160 online and opened a profile on USTravelDocs. My Fiancee has paid the Visa fee.

How long does it take to receive the interview packet from the consulate? I'm confused as to what to expect next.

email ustraveldocs and ask for it. you can do it on their website by clicking on the feedback button. they will usually get back to you within 24 hours (but of course its the weekend now, so it wont be till monday).

My fiance interviewed in New Delhi and never received an interview packet. I kept calling DOS from the US to see when his interview was. They have access to the embassy info in their system and can tell you the date. You can also email the travel docs website for your interview letter so, that you have one for your medical appt (you need it). It takes about 10 days to obtain your medical results so, be sure to give yourself enough time before your interview. Good luck!
