Interview dates usually run 2-3 months after the petition is sent to Lagos. It is doubtful anything is open in Dec as everyone wants approval before the new year comes

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

No they have already assigned the Dec interview dates. Hopefully you will be on the list the beginning of December for a possible Jan interview. Lagos submits the schedule the beginning of every month so if you haven't got a date by the middle of the month you have to check again the beginning of the next month. We got or date by Feb 5th and given March 23rd interview date. Good luck!

I advise that you hurry up and go setup your interview. Available interview dates may be far gone into February already.

IR1/CR1 do not have that option. We don't schedule our interviews like K1's. NVC does.

OP December is done been done since 1st week in November you are in queue for January and depending on how many before you you may get January. But this is the busy busy time for embassy and few slots for IR1/CR1.

Once you get interview (You will get the P4 interview letter) than your casefile gets sent to embassy.

Come on over to case complete thread I will add you.

Is it true that some Agents hoard interview dates?

What agents would that be? We are IR1/CR1 these dates are given to us by NVC there is no hoarding of anything. And K1's schedule their own.

Each embassy has a certain number of slots for IR1/CR1 and they schedule until its filled. So no one is hoarding its impossible.

It's true but not for family based immigration.

Mostly for tourist and student visa stuff, not sure if the embassy has been able to eliminate that but they are trying to and request that you turn in any tout like that without a risk to your approval.

In Nigeria anything is possible or at least they can try to make it possible.
