Approved! POE Question

Hi,

We were approved this morning and I have a question about POE. Are there any import forms we need to fill out like 3299 or something?

We're going to POE at the Highway Pacific border crossing south of Vancouver if that makes a difference. We don't have much stuff, enough to stuff in my father's Prius but some of the stuff is new, such as a desktop computer and so on.

If the items are traveling with you--u do not need to fil out form 3299--it is for Unaccompanied stuff!! One should have an inventory list--does not have to be fancy, keep it basic. Good chance they won't even ask to see it, but best to have it just in case

They made me fill out a long form when I was flying back to the US to visit family last year.

I'll make a list as you said.

Congrats! I made a list and labelled all my boxes, but like most people on here, they never asked for it

I had the envelope, and a long list of my stuff but they never asked for the list. I crossed at the Ambassador Bridge, Detroit.

Thanks for the answers! Should I put the approximate value of what the stuff is worth as well? Does it have to be exact items or something a long the lines of: x amount of books, 1 desktop computer, clothing, ect. ?

It's kind of hard to remember what we have because most of it is in storage on the other side of the country for now.

Something along the lines of 1 box - kitchen items, 5 boxes - personal clothes...etc.

I had a fancy spreasheet fo what was in each box and they didn't even look at it. I also had a less than yr old computer and tv but there were no issues with that either. They're more concerned about if you're bringing 20 new computers over the border (you might be trying to import and sell them on the sly!!!)...1 computer is just a personal pc.

Haha, true. I'll make a list of what we can remember having and then add to it once we pick everything up. We threw a lot of stuff out before putting it in storage so hopefully there won't be too much to add on.
