Hi VJers,

My fiancé just finished his Visa Interview (Manila Embassy) today.. He was there from 6am to 12 noon.. My fiancé forgot to ask if he was approved or not LOL, all he heard from the consul was "OK, go and sit and we'll call you back"; He was waiting but the US consul never called him back as he called another applicant.. He was finally called by the person on Window 71 (Releasing) and checked his file, confirmed with my fiancé if we choose pick-up, and said to wait for a txt msg or e-mail from 2GO MOA if everything's ready to be picked up.. then the lady behind my fiancé asked the releasing person, "is his okay already?" and the guy said, "no need to ask, it's already okay"; so I guess we're approved! I hope so! LOL! I dunno why my fiancé didn't ask, I guess he was tired and hungry already lol

He said that the interview went well.. It was just a very loooong wait.. Filipino consul asked my fiancé TWICE (re-phrased twice) - when did u become a couple? and when was her first visit to the Philippines? I guess, she was testing my fiancé if his answers are consistent.. LoL! She looked at the pics (I made a little scrapbook album) and returned it to him.. She NEVER looked at any Proof of Ongoing Relationship like text msgs, chats, etc... She also did not get my Certificate of Employment and Paystubs..

US Consul - there were actually 2 consuls accdg to my fiancé but it was the lady that was doing the questioning and the guy was just there.. She asked my fiancé for any pictures, he was about to hand her our little scrapbook but the lady consul was scanning my I-129 F application and found all our pictures and just said, "Oh wait, I have it here, Oh wow, Oh wow!" Then she asked why it took us so long to file for fiancé since we've been in a relationship for 9 years now.. she also asked, "what does she prefer to eat, pork or beef?" ; "what's her favorite color?" ; "and how our relationship started".

Overall, according to my fiancé, it went well.. the questions are very basic especially if you know your fiancé/fiancée well..

Are you the woman and filed a k-1 for a Filipino man?

The reason im asking you said in your post he was approved.

I am a U.S. citizen and filed for my Filipino wife. She told me

that she would be the only one interviewed and not both of us.

I saw at least 3 applicants with their fiancé tagging along with them during the interview...and yes, shes the one in question (youve done your part when you filed for the petition) so, she will be the one interviewed

Yes, am the woman who filed.. and yes, he was the one interviewed.. am here in the US right now..

we are finished with the USCIS portion and was approved on Nov.4th.

My question to you is how long did the NVC portion take? Also did you

receive any kind of notice telling you when your file was transferred from

the USCIS to the NVC? It has been 2 weeks for us since approved by the

USCIS but haven't received any kind of notice saying it has been transferred

to the NVC.

hi have you check the status from USCIS dashboard using your USCIS case number?. because when you saw from their dashboard that the case is on "Post Decision Activity" that means that they turn over your case to NVC already. and when NVC received your case they will assign NVC case number that starts with letters MNL.
