Hello everyone!

I just wanna ask..

We already have our MNL case # and an update status in CEAC that our papers was transit already to USEM. Though we haven't receive yet the hard copy letter from NVC stating the same. Can we move forward to paying the visa and scheduling the interview? Or do we need to wait for the hard copy from NVC as well as the CASE READY status in CEAC before moving forward in our process?

Please enlighten me...smile.png

Uhmm, me and my baby already talked about the things that needs to be done but i just want to know if there's another option to make things move faster..lol.

Just covering every bases and at the same time, wanted to help my future husband with some info...

Lol! I bet my Mahal will tease me again of being so excited even though I am not..uhm, just a little excited though..biggrin.png

God bless us all

Love lots!

Oh, by the way, I am the beneficiary..:)

Once you have your MNL, you don't have to wait for the NVC letter. Go pay the visa fee now, schedule your interview and do the medical!

You can show your interview appointment confirmation during the medical.

Safest date for your interview is 4 weeks after NVC said they sent your papers to Manila. It takes about 2-3 weeks for your physical files to get here and give the embassy a few days to sort your papers. There isn't really an option to make things faster, just make sure you get an interview scheduled soon because slots are filling up fast.

Here is the interview instructions. Make sure you have everything required:

Yes you can do the medical early, just remember the visa validity (6 months) is tied to the date of the medical.

Have fun!!

Just to add to Hank's info, 6 months validity if the applicant have no problem with his/her med exams but its only 3 months if the applicant had been positive for TB and had been subjected to DOT...

Well that isn't true. If they have to do the TB treatment they are required to do a new medical upon completion so the medical date will be the last medical.

Uhm, that i'm kind of confused..I don't quite understand what it means. Why it has only 3 months validity if applicant has medical problem? Though i had myself checked already and knew that i'm okay, but i'm still curious about this new info that you guys told me..why the time frame will be reduce to 3 months instead of 6 months? Lol, I'm really quite slow in understanding so forgive me for my inquiry..:)

It isn't true.

Fact: K-1 visa is valid for 6 months.

Fact: K-1 visa validity date is tied to the date of the medical.

How long the visa is valid upon issuance depends on the date of the medical.

Ok, I do not think that Hank and I are on the same page here so let me put this conditions below:

* If the applicant had undergone medical and the panel of physician had determined that the applicant is "NOT TB positive", - 6 months validity

* If the applicant had undergone medical and the panel of physican had determined that the applicant is "TB POSITIVE", theywill have to go DOT (Direct Obeserve Treatment) meaning that the applicant cannot proceed with the scheduled interview and would have to treated for their TB. The treament usually last for 2-3 months. Only after that, when the panel of physicians had determined that the applicant is medically clear that they would give a green light for the applicant to schedule for an appointment and their med results to be forwarded by SLEC to USEM. - 3 months validity

TB Sputum testing 2 months.

If negative move on to interview. 4 months remaining.

If positive for TB - Treatment for 6 months.

New medical required after treatment. = new medical date.

None of this works out to your PFA 3 months.

We for sure are not on the same page.... thank goodness.
