Dear All

My parents are applying for a status change and they already went for their biometrics. My father's fingerprints were rejected twice and we just got a letter requesting police clearance from the chief of Police for each city they resided in the US past 5 years.

My question is about what resided means in this context? Is visiting a city for 1 month considered residence? They have been to 3 states visiting people for various times (varying from 1-2 months) and so it is not clear if they need letters from all these places? When we applied for their paperwork we wrote they were in these place in the G-325A

And is there a single website that shows the processes of requesting the letters from different states?

Thank you in advance

Resides mean they have live there either paid rent or mortgage there that's what reside mean when you go somewhere for a month or two it is not necessary their residence. So I hope that helps

Thank you!

They were visiting my brothers so they haven't paid any rent or mortgage - they haven't paid them while staying with us her in NH either, but all the paperwork were sent from here so they should only get it from our police station?

thanks again
