lol…ok so you are in the same boat as i am.

One question though---- i also have a lawyer. So we don't have to fill out the DS261. right?

then the process should be once my attorney gets the email -- (hopefully sooner rather than later)--- the DS261 should automatically be taken care of, and the payment portal for the AOS fees and IV fees should become available to pay. Once paid, we go ahead to submitting the AOS packet and IV packet.

Like you, all the relevant paperwork of my partner and me is with the lawyer. Just waiting on confirmation from the NVC.

I am not any FB pages. i will definitely be checking up on it.

thanks

Now i am headed to canadian tire to go buy an AC…..its so freakkkkkinnnnnggggggg HOT here.

Hello Cathymac,

I hope you are well. So now you have your IIN and case number, are you able to log on to fill DS261? Or did they also tell you that you have to wait to get a confirmation email from NVC?

We've got a lawyer so no Ds 261. Waiting for the Aos to become available now. Yes, can't do anything until she gets the email, so frustrating. Got a lovely condescending email from her saying, thank you for getting your case number to me ( but you wasted your time) I just wanted to slap her and tell her to get us through this stage already ;) Sent my IV docs to her today. She says no hurry because of the backlog :(

I called today and got my Case number and IIN number. They were supposedly available since 18 june. But then she said that it will take 2-4 weeks from the time your case number is generated that a confirmation email is sent. Then only you can fill DS261 form and get ready to pay your AOS fees. So of course, I go to check if i can file my DS261, and i cannot even access it as well as when i sign into the payment portal i only see under the AOS section the fees is NOT INVOICED yet.

Is the same thing happening to you too? Or are you able to proceed with your DS 261 and paying your fees?

It shouldn't take that long to access the ds261. Most people are getting it after a week or so. You on any of the fb pages? Lots of helpful folk there at different stages of the process and it's not overwhelming like the pages on here.

congrats NorrisSFout of the frying pan into the fireLOL>.but enjoy the month in the middleparty time.yay!!!!

Yes, I think that's the case. The Aos and IV are available to pay at the same time. I assume once they are paid then the Ds 260 is available to fill in. Once that's done and they have both packages, it's just a case of waiting for them to be scanned and then wait for CC. If no checklist, it seems to be about five weeks from scan to CC right now, think they are on May 27th.

Lol. I really need to learn how to quote and reply on this thing. I'm not even hoping for Sept now, October seems realistic. I can't see CC until August at the earliest, without a checklist. Damn, this process sucks. Surely there has to be a better way?

I there, I was just wondering, I have a similar timeline for NVC as you do, my AOS fee was available, so we paid it and I send off the affidavit, but the IV fee has not been invoiced as of yet. Is that common? We really want to get moving on this but it seems like it is going to drag out from task to task...

Sorry got busy talking to my partner yesterday...

this morning was a huge fiasco..but hopefully all sorted out…now that i re-read saylin's page… i posted my RANT on NVC filers...

apparently when my lawyer went in this morning..to the payment portal --- it said that our case is under process for termination… ….

i called NVC and it seems, this can happen if you log too many times they lock you out and they leave a message like your "process is under termination" instead of saying "you have logged in more than 3 times so you are locked out", or "we are currently processing and invoicing your paperwork" etc..they say this case is being processed for termination, if you have received this message in error please call NVC So then you CAN PANIC!!

i then read saylin's wikipage --- and it seems its good news, apparently this means they are working on my case to get the bills invoiced and all that jazz...…

so yeah this was this morning...

My screen name is TargetNovember14….my target to reach back to my partner is november 2014…so yes october or november is WAY MORE realistic….though i keep hoping that i can get there earlier.. :goofy:

i am going to think positive…(though somedays are very hard), and hopefully we all can be with our spouses soon rather than later.

Was the three days before you could pay Aos from the email from nvc or from when you rang up and got it? Seems to be a week or so lag between the two right now. It also seems to be taking about 30 days from Aos being invoiced to IV from what I gather on others posts :( also, it depends if you have a lawyer or not. Aos and IV should become available at the same time with a lawyer.

TargetNovember14 phew, lol. Good news then.

I want October at the latest, I miss her so much. I also want to be looking for work before winter sets in and I miss my pups. Seems like we missed out on the transfers and then got caught in their backlog hey? :(

Oh, I see. Well, I called and talked to a supervisor at NVC because I called on June 12th to check on my case, and they said they received it on May 21st. They said it would be about 30 business days from the May date. Then I called again in late June to check on the status, and this is when they gave me my C# and IIN, but said it would be 30 business days from June 12th (the day I called to check on it and obviously the day they decided to really start on it). So I asked to speak to a supervisor about it, and she said it would be a few days. It took 2 days after this to receive the e-mail and invoice for the AOS.

Now we wait to pay the IV bill. My husband is living in Japan and we were hoping when we applied in November that he would be able to have his interview in Tokyo before the end of July (and before he moves back to France), but that is just not going to happen at this point.

I would assume he could just do it in France...I emailed the NVC saying if the interview was later then end of july he could be living in his home country. I'm not sure how these things work, but I would think he could do the interview in France?

Sooooo are we the only ones left now? This is so frustrating, I don't even know what the problem is, we never got an RFE. I keep thinking that because we filed the I-129f in December they put us in one pile with the December filers or something? Sorry about the constant negativity, it's just hard to see everyone else move on while we are still waiting :(

6/5/2013 got married

11/14/2013 mailed I-130

11/19/2013 I-130 NOA1 (NSC)

12/20/2013 mailed I-129f (just in case)

12/27/2013 I-129f NOA1 (NSC)

1/2/2014 ARN changed on both I-130 and I-129f

1/7/2014 I-129f updated/touched?

11/10/2014 NOA2 FINALLY!!! (after 356 days & 4 service requests)
