hi guys,

i wanna ask those who are familiar with this process. we got our mnl case already about 3 weeks ago via calling nvc and im schedule for medical nextweek at st lukes.. me and my fiancee would like to book for an interview appointment. my question is, the usem call center told us that we should have to wait for the letter because they will not allow us to get inside the embassy without the appt letter. is it by any chance a misleading information or its a fact? can i schedule my appointment online and present to the embassy without the appointment letter? i have completed my ds 160 form ( thanks to vj members who are very helpful) and so far we already have all the necessary documents needed except for the letter of eligibility from us embassy. has someone on is site tried or was able to have their interview at usem without the elogibility letter? i have read alot of threads regarding the letter that it doesnt arrive and sometimes it will never arrive. can someone help me on this? thank you so much

Hi!

I just had my interview last Oct.29 without the eligibilty letter. I advise you to book your interview online for there is no hassle with it. Pay the visa fee and your good to book online for your appointment. What is being asked during the interview is the DS 160 and your appointment letter of your interview. Goodluck & God bless!

thanks for your reply. what do you mean by appointment letter? i havent got any letter from us embassy manila yet.

is the appointment letter youre referring is the one you will print once you have book your interview date? please help

Congrats on getting your MNL#! You can now start creating your online profile at: http://cgifederal.force.com/

This is where you set an appointment online once you have paid for the visa application fee.

The appointment letter is the appointment "confirmation" letter that can be saved as pdf & printed after you have successfully scheduled your interview online. You can also opt for setting the interview visa the USEM hotline and request them to email you the appointment confirmation. You can show either the email or the pdf print-out (& the DS-160) before entering the USEM.

Welllllllll sort of... fact.... sort of.

If you schedule your interview online you will not have any issue doing that now.

Oh.... for sure DO NOT wait for the eligibility letter.. they rarely arrive and you do not need it. You will need the appointment confirmation after scheduling online but for that you simple choose the email option then print copies for St. Luke's (2) and USEM (1)

Follow the flashing arrow below.
