To those of you who already have had your interview, I was wondering if Tax Transcripts alone would be sufficient proof of income or would you need 1040's and W2's also?

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure about that because I only submitted the IRS tax transcript for 2010 (I had 1040s and W2s for 2011 and 2012) and NVC accepted that with no problems. Not sure about at the embassy level but I was told that official tax transcripts were fine. My lawyer is the one who submitted the paperwork.

We have an immigration lawyer too. That's what he instructed us. Here's our situation, my fiancee and I are living together here in the Philippines for a year now. We had the copies of his 1040's (2011 & 2012). The problem is both 1040's do not have signature because they were filed electronically by the tax accountant. So our lawyer suggested to just get tax transcripts. I hope there would not be a problem during my interview. We are still waiting for our NOA2. :) Anyway, thanks BethAnn and Omar for sharing!

I would suggest a tax tax transcript and employer's letter stating his job, rate, tenure and whether he his permanent or not. You might want the transcript also as it carries his civil status so that can be proof to his singleness for CFO and such.

The employer's letter pretty much says everything like the W2 or paystubs. So I suggest you AT LEAST get the tax transcript and employer's letter.
