Even if Sarah Boaz were looking for a way to get out of going to work Wednesday, the alternate plan knocking at her Texas front door likely wasn’t at the top of her list.

It was the city marshal with a warrant for her arrest.

Boaz’s crime?

She ran a stop sign in August and never paid the fine, Dallas-Fort Worth’s KTVT-TV reported.

“I’m like, nobody puts out a bench warrant after 60 days. Why would you do that?” Boaz told KTVT. “You wouldn’t do that.”

Oh yes, they would.

Boaz was handcuffed and taken to Richland Hills jail, which is where things escalated even further.

“’I’m going to need you to undress,” she remembers a female officer telling her. “I’m going to need you to stand against the wall.”

KTVT reported that a strip search is standard procedure for an individual brought to the municipal jail.

But attorney Jason Smith told KTVT that despite the local statute, “the constitution doesn’t keep the government or government officials from using common sense. Unfortunately, some police officers, some governments get overly aggressive because they want that ticket revenue.”

Two reminders were sent to Boaz, according to municipal court officials, but Boaz said she never received them, and even lost the original ticket, KTVT reported.

Even so, Boaz said she never expected her stop sign violation to earn her a trip to the slammer: “I guess it was just frustrating to me, that a bill that I pay a month late, I end up in jail for.”

When was the last time a person of non color shot instead of tased?

When was the last time a person of non color slapped in the face with a hand gun with such force the gun discharged?

My thing is, police brutality happens to all races. But when it's minorities(I don't think Asians have this issue as much) they tend to lean in a bit more. If a white kid was shot 50+ times without having a gun, the police department would be sued into the ground.
