Need to track from NOA 2 to NVC (with what receipt or what case number on which letter?)

NVC to Malaysia Consulate (with what receipt or what case number on which letter?)

Appreciate the help. Thank you in advanced

There isn't any available tracking between NOA2 and NVC unfortunately. sad.png Very frustrating during this transition as you will have no idea who has your case. Currently Californa NOA2's are taking between 6-8 weeks to get the case # issued. The case # is then used to track case from NVC to Consulate.

We rec'd our NOA2 from CSC back on Sept 20th and still no case #. I called USCIS on Monday and was advised that my petition FINALLY was sent to NVC on Oct 18th although NVC still does not technically acknowledge receipt?! Ugh... When you do start calling NVC, DOS or USCIS (I started calling during week 2 just because) they will ask for your receipt number.

Sorry for the news on that. Hoping they speed things up for you though cuz this wait is agonizing!

Awaiting Oath Ceremony for Citizenship! Last step!

My fiancé called the number on NOA 2 and he told me that I can scheduled for interview once he sent me all the things I need for my interview.. I am pretty sure he messed up with what he is telling me! He said that's what the person on the line told him.. So, I posted here to be sure or maybe I should double check with my fiancé again

There's no way to track your petition from the CSC to NVC other than calling the NCSC or the NVC directly and asking for its whereabouts. tongue.png Once it's received by NVC, a case number will be generated (you will either have to call NVC to get this case number or wait for the letter from NVC in the mail). Case numbers are taking around 6-8 weeks after NOA2 as Corey&Guyvens said. sad.png

With this case number from the NVC, you can track your case here from the time it's at the NVC till your interview is completed and you receive your passport back with your visa.

ETA: This page has information on what to expect in Malaysia (instructions for packet 3 and 4, etc). Looks like it was updated pretty recently, in June this year. :)
