Hi Everyone

First Posting, I am currently in the K1 process, got me NOA 1 on 10/1/13 and its at the Texas Service center. I wanted my Fiancee to be here for the coming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years), and return in January. From reading other post this is possible. If anyone has any additional input as far as pros and cons or experience, I sure would appreciate it. I dont want to get caught with any situations that may cause delays or rejections. Due to the various K1 processing times, if it is such that the consulate sends out the packet, she will fly back to finish the process and interview.

She can come and spend days her on her tourist visa.... no problem.... as long as she leaves the country before her I94 expires, which should be fine because she will be here for like 2 months or less... hopefully the fiance application is approved but the average time for an approval is 5 months (even though they are moving faster these days)... even after that there´s a process with the National Visa Center and scheduling her interview so you are probably looking at an interview in late January or February if everything goes faster than the average time..... I have seen a lot of people who applied in July getting approved.... good luck and keep us posted....

Thank you, We definitely will follow every possible rule in order to keep our K1 from having any issues. As it seems so far it is possible for her to come here, just need to get the consulate to approve her, I am hoping that with her being already in the K1 process it will benefit her to get approved.

Jay, did your fiancee got a tourist visa? I am tired of go to China. I have traveled to China three times already since I met my fiancee in April. I was so afraid of getting her troubles to apply tourist visa for her. So we decided to vacation in Europe for two weeks during Christmas and New Year. If tourist visa is not a big deal for K-1, I may do the same get her here beginning of next year while wait. Thanks.

It was no issue at all, My fiancée did get the B2 Visa Approved at the consulate and immigration allowed her here on a 6 month visa, So she will be here until her time to return and get her interview. Approved or not approved, the B2 will not be an issue for your K1.

Jay
