Hi everyone,

I received citizenship through my parents, but unfortunately have lost my certificate. Since i do still have a current US passport, would that suffice? I am afraid I-129F petition will be kicked back. On Part 1 question 13.d, 13.d 1-3 asks information about my certificate which i don't have. How do i annotate that i have copied my US Passport in support of citizenship for question 13. Thank you! Has anyone else also gone through this predicament?

Yes, the US passport will suffice as long as it has a validity period of at least 5 years. Send them a copy of all the pages of the passport. Just to be sure though. Which certificate did you lose, birth or naturalization certificate?

List all the information about your certificate where it asks. Use a copy of all pages of your US passport as proof of your US citizenship.
