Following the NOA2

We got our NOA2 on the 30/11/2006, and we received the physical copy in the mail already. What I was wondering is, how long did it take you guys to get the next bit of paper with a new tracking number? I haven't heard anything and it's almost two weeks later, so I was wondering when we'd be likely to get more information on what's going on.

Can take up to 2 weeks for case to be transfered from USCIS to NVC, then up to 4 weeks for NVC to process and forward to consulate or embassy.

I waited 2 weeks then emailed and called NVC 1 tome a week for status a I got case number by emailing NVC.

If you do call them, don't use the automated system, it wont have case info, talk to a live operator. If email, you reference USCIS case number and Name and DOB of petitioner, and beneficiary.

An automated recorded message system can answer many of these inquiries 24 hours a day, seven days a week (603 334-0700). Operators are available to respond to more difficult inquiries from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. Status of case information and access to an operator can only be provided by entering your NVC case number or CIS receipt number on a touch-tone telephone. Case inquiries can also be made via email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov.

My NOA2 was dated nov 28 and i got it dec 2. Just got my letter from NVC today dec 12 and it was dated dec 7.
