Divorce decree signature and stamp questions

Hi,

I went to pick up my divorce decree today, at the Conservatory of Civil Records, The wording on it, as per what I've read here, is fine as it mentions it's the final decree, no appeals, and all that. My questions are regarding the stamp and signature on it.

The paper is a copy of the document produced in the divorce proceedings, and while it does mention the name of the legal person who oversaw the proceedings, her signature isn't on it. The signature I DO have is from the Conservatory clerk, certifying that the document is a legal and official copy of the original. Is that good enough?

As for the stamp, here, in my country, for official papers, they use what we call a "white stamp", which is an engraving on the paper (hence the white), instead of an ink stamp. I know I can send the original as we file the I-129F, but I thought sending copies would be safer in case the original gets lost, somehow. The problem is the embossing hardly shows on the copies. What would you suggest? Sending the original anyway? Write a small letter explaining the white stamp? Send copies with that explanation letter?

Can you buy another certified copy of the decree? I know that here in the US as well as in the UK, you can order/purchase additional copies of the decree. That way you could send an original with your packet and still have an original at home.

I can't say if a copy will be OK...but if you can buy another copy of the decree easily, I'd go that route and minimize the risk of getting a RFE during the process.
