I read it that if I scheduled my appointment on the 10th of September and my appointment is

on the 21st October I am ok with the old forms...is that the way you read it?

If you scheduled your interview prior to Oct 7th you can use the old forms, yup you are fine.

From USEM:

Exempted from filing Form DS-160 are applicants whose cases have already been scheduled for an interview prior to October 7, or have been interviewed and are pending additional documentation or administrative processing, or whose cases have been received at Embassy Manila prior to the said date and submitted Forms DS-156, DS-156K and DS-230.

Yes. Your new appointment will be scheduled after 7 October. Upside is you don't need to do all the other forms... ya I know, you did them already... ;(

The way I read it is that people who ACTUALLY will have their interview prior to October 7 are exempt--NOT for those who schedule before October 7 with interview after that date.

We need to hear from people who have interviewed after October 7 to see if it was required.

ds 160 asks: do you have immediate relatives in the US? i dont have but on the side it says immediate relative means Fiance/fiancee,sibling,parents, spouse,child...

Is the answer yes?

Umm I dont believe that fiance is not considered a immediate relative. That to me implies that you have brother or sister or parent or child in USA already.

What is confusing about that? "already been scheduled" is pretty clear. If you did the scheduling for the interview before the 7th of Oct you are good with the old forms, If you did the scheduling on the 7th or later ... use the DS-160.

As for already having been interviewed that is mentioned later in the notice.
