I received my NOA2 on Sept 5, 2013. I'm currently visiting my fiancee in Peru, and we haven't heard anything from the NVC still (it's been over one month). We can't call because we're abroad, but we're starting to get worried that our papers have been lost or sent to the wrong place.

We called the Consulate today in Lima, but they just told us that they don't have our records yet.

Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to check online or via e-mail with the NVC? Any suggestions as to how we should proceed?

ALSO, has anyone else here gone through the Lima consulate? Can I get a time frame for how everything went with your case?

Thanks so much!

There are many posts in the K-1 Progress Reports and NVC forums about the wait times for going through the NVC. Your case is most likely not lost as others have been waiting longer than you. NVC is giving out an 8 week time frame right now.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to National Visa Center- topic is about case going through the NVC ~
