Married name on AOS, EAD, AP

Hey there everyone, I'm just filling in all our (my) AOS, EAD, AP forms and I just want to make sure that I should be using my new last name.

I am the K1-er who entered and we get married in a few weeks. I am preparing all the documents now.

I'll be taking my husbdan-to-be's last name so am I correct in filling everything out in my new last name?

I realize I'll need to take my marriage certificate with me whenever I go for anything but that's ok. I want to make sure things are done correctly.

June 19, 2006 ~~~~~ EAD Card in the mail

July 27, 2006 ~~~~~ Interview for Green Card

Yeah thats correct! And make sure to have the marriage license even if you travel with AP cause your passport is in your maiden name and your travel document(AP) will be in your married name

Yeh you use your married name.

Make sure to take your marriage lisence with you when you get your Bio's done too. They wont do them unless you have that with you. Seen alot of people get turned away becasue they didnt bring it.

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Yes, you are doing it correctly. We couldn't get a state ID in her married name (or get the SSN changed); we are waiting for the arrival of the Green card to get those done. Good luck

July 7 Received Passport in 3 weeks

Shredded all immigration papers Have scanned images

April 25,06 started working.

Aug. 18,06 passed the colorado driving test

Sept. 28,06 got my own car

Aug. 28,12 7th year wedding anniversary

July 11,2011 became a Citizen of US

You can use either but it seems that most women elect to take their husband's name.
