At 9:45 AM yesterday my Case Status was:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On May 1, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check Processing Times.

Sincerely,
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

At 7:30 PM last night my status switched to:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Decision

On May 1, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

It seems like it's a normal thing to expect with cases being approved. Status switching back and forth. Will update you guys when my case status gives out a tracking number. IF it will still update to that.

congratulations !!!!!!!!!!! for us that might be still along Journey , our local office were processing end of july as of and of March and another couple months

Thanks! Good luck! :)

How often the processing time for local offices get updated

They used to update about once a month but I know Newark was updated a couple weeks ago and then again on May 1st. They were only on June a few weeks ago and now it suddenly says they are on Sept 18th..either those figures were wrong or not a lot of people filed last year in summer months. Hopefully Dallas gets yours approved soon! :)

HAHA, Bout damn time it did! Almost everyone I know who filed after me got interviews or their GC's in the mail and I was still stuck in limbo. Finally, it happened! YAY! Thanks for wishing us luck before! :D :D :D

Status changed twice today.

1. This morning, from Decision it went to "Card Production" - mailed card to address on file)

2. An hour ago, "Card Production" - with the USPS Tracking Number.Expected to be delivered this Friday

Anybody else who have news on theirs? I know a September filer from my field office (Saint Paul, MN) that is still on acceptance stage. :/

I contacted USCIS and we filed a service request since my case seems to be out of normal processing time. I just got an e-mail yesterday saying this:

The status of this service request is: On May 01, 2014, you contacted USCIS concerning Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Form I-485 was very recently received at our office and is presently pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your application. We hope this information is helpful to you.

It's been over 7 months now that I applied and this is getting really frustrating here. Especially knowing that people who applied after me are approved already at the same service center. I'm just trying to keep myself busy to not think about it!
