Sorry I know I'm annoying...

I just want to clear things up.

I know I'll be sending the I-129f thru SNAIL MAIL, but what about when I receive?

Will I be receiving my notices thru snail mail or email? What about my fiancé? Snail mail or Email?

And I'm a little bit confused.... what exactly are the packets?

Packet 1,2,3,4?

Is packet 1 the 1-129f? what about the rest?

Ugh.. Sorry... I just want to make sure we have everything needed.

yes, you will be getting your notifications from USCIS thru regular USPS.... you can file the G1145 form together with your I129F to get a text message/email notification that it was received and your case number... after that, you will receive official notifications thru mail ... you can also receive emails and text notifications if you sign up with USCIS and create an account and add your case number.... as far as the different packets I am not too experienced with that, but I believe packet 3 is the one you get once USCIS has approved your petition and National Visa Center (NVC) contacts you and packet 4 is what you and your fiancé are supposed to get after your file is at your fiancé's location consulate and it is basically the "appointment letter"... let me know if I explained it well... good luck!!!!

If you send the G-1145 with your I-129F paperwork, then you will get e-notified of when they receive your case file. You will also receive a hard copy letter, known on VJ as the NOA1. That is your receipt notice and you can use the receipt number to check the status of your case online at the USCIS site. Only the USC petitioner receives notices regarding the I-129F petition. The next hard copy letter from them would be the NOA2 approval notice. Do not lose that. It is will be needed when the time comes to apply for AOS later.

The packets, such as 3 and 4 refer to instructions and forms certain consulates send to the foreign fiance(e) when it is time for them to schedule an interview. Some consulates have you mail in forms, and some have you simply hand carry in all the forms you need when you interview. See your consulate's instructions to know what to expect and what to do when that time comes > http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3224.html

- If you filed the G-1145 together with your initial petition, the USC will get an email/ text that USCIS received your papers. The text will have the receipt number.

-Register on the USCIS website and use the receipt number to track your case progress. When you register, you have the option to receive email or text for case updates. Besides these, USC will get written notices (snail mail) for NOA1 and NOA2.

Is packet 1 the 1-129f? what about the rest?

- for the Philippines, there are no packets 1 and 2; Only 3 and 4

- 3 & 4 are listed here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Philippines&cty=Manila

In addition to the responses above....

IF your mailing address is a P.O. Box, use this on the I-129F. Be sure to use a continuation sheet indicating you receive mail at the P.O. and not at your physical address. You will receive the 797C Notice at the address you specify on the I-129F. If you get mail delivered to your physical address, then disregard this info.

Just follow the guides here on VJ and you'll be fine. If you have any more questions, just post them. Good Luck.
