Opinions needed :).......We are in the process of applying for our K1 visa, so far this is where we are at......

I-129F Sent : 2013-08-01 I-129F NOA1 :

2013-08-07

I was planning on returning to the USA, (I`m in Ireland), for almost 3 months like I did last year at the same time, mid october to mid january.

Do you think I would need to be at home in Ireland to complete my part of the visa application?

It`s really a question about processing times I guess. I was thinking that the NOA2 should come through about the end of October.

So...in your opinions....do you think I would need to be home sooner than mid january to complete my side of the application?

I was thinking it should take about 9 or 10 months to complete and thought it would be ok to be there through the mid October to mid January period?

We are finding it very difficult to work out processing times.

If I do need to fly back home to complete paperwork etc I can but obviously I dont want to be in the USA if I`m going to be needed at home in Ireland to complete things.

Thanks again and thank God for this forum as we would be lost without your help.

Regards...Jenny & Al.

I think you will be fine. Even if NOA 2 comes through early, you are given some time to reply- and things will slow down from end of October till January as there are several big holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas), so staff both at USCIS and the embassy will be off.

If you want to keep the process going, have someone at home check your mail regularly, and prepare what documents you can ahead of time so you have it ready to send in, either by a friend in Ireland or from the USA.

I'm in the same situation. Our NOA2 just came (to my fiance's place in the states). Apparently they will send package 3 to my place in canada and to his in the states. I'm hoping I can do as much as I can from the states. Maybe you can always get somebody express mail documents from Ireland if you need them. I think you'll be fine.
