My wife will be submitting her forms for Adjustment of Status from the K-1 visa soon. Along with that submission we will send an application for Advance Parole. We note that on the form it asks if she will need multiple entries to the USA or just one. We are not sure how to respond. Here is the situation.

We are assuming that Adjustment of Status will take up to two years to achieve. Maybe that is not true, but this assumption is the foundational basis of this quesiton.

I August (11 months from now) I will have a business opportunity to travel to China (not her home country). This trip would be for about 3 weeks, and I would like to bring my new wife with me. So, we would need advanced parole for this.

My wife's passport contains an exit visa from her home country (Uzbekistan). That visa expires in March 2015. And so, she will have to go back to Uzbekistan for about a month before then to renew her travel documents and remain legal with her home country (Important for her to continue to be able to visit her family). March 2015 is before we would expect the adjustement of status to be completed. However, this trip is completely different from the trip to China.

So, how do we file advance parole?

Option 1. File now for the China trip and then file again later for the trip home?

Option 2. File for both trips now. If so, how is that done on the applicaiton form?

Opinions and ideas please?

Check more than one trips. In the attachment sheet, she can write she wants to vacation in her home country and accompany you on a work trip. Anyway once she has AP she'll be able to use it for other trips outside the US if she wants - don't be out of the US too long though. FYI, AOS will probably take around 1 yr (less if you are selected for an interview). Good luck.
