Anybody else in here from Guam?

I'm a bit confused as to who I make my check payable to.

The website says to make it payable to Department of Homeland Security unless I live on Guam or the Virgin Islands.

Can anyone inform me as to who I would make my check out to?

And for Guam residents, after we send our application packet to the Texas lockbox, where does it go from there?

Hi there...

My fiance is staying in Guam too and we filed our K1 petition the same way as everyone else. After Texas Lockbox, ours got sent to CSC. Still waiting! :D

Can I ask where did you read this? I cannot find it in the website. The website here did not say anything about paying it differently if you live in Guam or Virgin Islands. ( http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f )

The website says to make it payable to Department of Homeland Security unless I live on Guam or the Virgin Islands.

The current I-129F instructions state to make check payable to Department of Homeland Security so I would adhere that guideline. After September 16, 2013 USCIS will only accept the current I-129F dated 06/13/13 so you should stick to those instructions.

Send it you petition and payment to the Texas Lockbox. It will get transferred to the California Service Center (CSC).

I don't find where you are reading about Guam and Virgin Islands.

USCIS I-129F This website makes no comments regarding Guam or Virgin Islands. Didn't see anything on the form or instructions either.

Hope the link helps.

Even though the USCIS website should be the one to follow, unfortunately there are other immigration help websites that are still making references to the old forms and payment instructions. The newest June 2013 forms (I-129F, I-130, I485) are the first versions that I've seen that have removed the instructions specific to Guam residents. I guess it helps remove any of the confusion, but in a sense has caused some as well.

You can't be faulted for following the current instructions. To my knowledge here on VJ, yours will be the first from Guam using the new I-129F. Just an idea but if you can, use a personal check and verify your checking account after getting the I-797C to see if/when the check clears. This way you'll have a heads up if it was payable to the correct party. Be sure to submit a G-1145 to get the 797 Notice of Action.
