Hey everyone!

This is my first post in this community and the first and most important thing is oh man, was I overwhelmed with happiness that I had found this place. It is like a shining beacon of light in the darkness for information, and I'm so happy that this exists. Every single one of you here are wonderful people and I can't wait to talk and learn with you folks. smile.png

I'm assembling the package for the K-1 129-F (using form version 06/13/13 N) and I'm using http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide. My question is:

On step 4, it says "Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years. This should be a single typed page attachment regarding question 18 of the I-129F. Make sure to sign and date it."

That makes sense to me - however I can't seem to find this "Question 18" it's talking about on the 129-F. The only "Question 18" I've found is on Page 3 (of 6) under the "Information about your Alien Fiance(e) (continued)" and the question is "Date of Birth".

If this is in fact relating to Question 34.a. "Describe the circumstances under which you met", the requirement for Step 4 of the Guideline seems to be for if you need to expand on this point at all. In general, should this point be expanded upon as much as possible since there is a limited amount of space to write in on the 129-F?

I have as well a secondary question about this: My fiancee and I started dating before we first met in person. Does the form (and potentially the supplementing document) need to discuss when we first "met" as in -ever-, or "met" physically?

Thanks for all your help folks, I really appreciate it. smile.png

Typically they want to know when you met in person, since that is a crucial part of the approval process, but it's best to cover all your bases and say both. On our forms we simply said that when met online in such and such and then met in person in such and such, followed by some brief dates and details of further trips and visits.

Yep, the guides are referring to Qn 18 on the older version of the forms. On the most current forms, it's question 34a.

We only included the details of our first meeting in person on the form, and included the rest of the information (how we met online, how the relationship was established, all trips to meet in person, etc) in the addendum.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
