Flagged at border

I have a question. Now that we are filed, will I be flagged at the border - does this information go to them via computer or something? I visit often as we are only two hours away from each other but am wondering now if I am married , I will have a hassle.

I can tell you about my experience at the POE, which was New York JFK, I flew with my husband but I went in the visitor line, once it was my turn the officer only asked me how long was I staying for, I replied two months and then he stamped my passport. I know other people have been asked more questions, but as long as you have as many proofs as you can that show strong ties(return ticket,lease,job letter,school..) to your home country you should be ok.

No you won't be flagged. my i130 was approved in May end and my file has been at the NVC stage since mid June. We are Dec 2012 i130 filers and I've crossed the border more than 15 times now.

Just make sure, you carry all the proof that you will return back and have sufficient paperwork to show it.

I cross usually by land (in my car from Canada) so I have tonnes of paperwork to show (my current job in Canada, my car lease, my phone bills, my taxes, my condo lease, and tonnes of #######).

I also tell them that I am crossing to see my wife and my i130 has been approved. Once an officer did ask my did you get your interview yet and I said No. He was ok with it.

thanks all - yes that does help - I always carry my housing lease but am going to get together a better package for my car in case it is needed
