I just want to update everyone on my case, yesterday case status update from AP to Ready.I contacted DOS this morning and the lady I spoke to told me that the case is still under going AP,I told her that the case has been updated on 9/11/13 to Ready she insist that it is not and it will take another six to eight weeks,I call back a few hours later and I spoke to some one else and she told me the case is in final review and the visa will be issue soon.My step daughter was contacted about an hour a go to bring her passport in on Monday,I know a lot of the reps that answer the phone@DOS do not provide the correct info,I will keep you guys posted once the visa is issue.

DOS does not deal with processing the paperwork so they go off of the information the embassy puts in the computers. They called and told her to bring her passport in so within a couple days you should hear something, the process doesn't take much longer from here, the embassy has been moving at great speed lately, so you're almost at the finish line. Don't become stressed and frustrated now, your time is near.

Yes, count on the visa being issued soon. DOS knew who I was already and I knew most to their names too. They each provide the information they are most comfortable providing. Some will give a more direct answers than others. Be easy, prepare for your step daughter. She will soon come.
