Hi all. I've not checked in for a ong time because I wasn't able to face it in all honesty. After having some bad news from my medical on June 2nd, I hope to be discharged from hospital next week. A long and stressful road that has nearly ended our realtionship. Hopefuly now we can move on.....So I tried calling the embassy today but things have changed. The number I have is no longer in use!! Then I finaly speak to a guy who didn't know what a K1 visa was!!! Ooooh now I'm nervous! So guys have things really changed? Our uscis approval was April 25th. Are we out of time? The knightsbridge docs have been kept informed of what's happening regarding my health. Any info much apprecaited. Good luck all. Xx

Your timeline is incomplete so I'm not sure how far along you actually are. Have you sent Packet 3?

They did change their number recently. Did you call this number 020 3608 6998?

And if you do get through to someone, don't expect them to be experts in the K1 visa, most of the people manning the phone lines have no idea what a K1 is.

You shouldn't be out of time, you will just have to take a new notarized letter of intent from the USC to interview.

First find your case number and check the status in website. Then try to collect all the proof you have for K1 visa which you applied then contact the consular office. Try to explain why you couldn't follow the visa progress correctly and show your medical records too..

No, don't follow this advice

First find your case number and check the status in website. Then try to collect all the proof you have for K1 visa which you applied then contact the consular office. Try to explain why you couldn't follow the visa progress correctly and show your medical records too..

Your instruction letter from the embassy (packet 3) says if you aren't done by the date on the letter, then bring a notarized letter of intent from the American to revalidate the expired petition. If you have sent everything to the embassy (forms), then once Knightsbridge clears you and sends your medical results to the embassy you should get an interview letter. Go to the interview with that new letter of intent (and your other required documents).
