Hello VJ Fam!

I check the case every so often, but I noticed something different today. Does this mean progress?

Initial Review

On September 4, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

I had that message ever since my NOA1 was issued I am now going on 6 months and no NOA2. I did have a change to my status on the same date as yours Sept. 4th saying my case was transfered... Hope this helps.

The status was different once I received my NOA1, this change happened yesterday....sorry to hear that it has taken so long, but that is the approximate time. Others get lucky and get approved fast....I really don't know under what criteria or in what random order are these petitions approved....its just a matter of luck.

Now that your case was transferred you should be approved sooooon! I'm at the Texas Service Center....I hope they move quick!!!!

I also had the same notice when checking online. So I decided to call USCIS and they said it the USCIS number. It's like an Ailen number but without the "A".

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/298335-uscisalien-registration-are-they-the-same/

The USCIS number is the same as the alien registration number, commonly known as “A” number, but without the “A” prefix. The USCIS number or alien registration number is also listed on the back of the redesigned Green Card (i.e., A# 000-000-000).

Mine said this in July but when I called none of the agents knew what it meant lol... Eventually a tier 2 supervisor informed that it may be that my file was transferred. Sure enough I received a notice informing me that I was now in Texas... When I called USCIS why was it transferred they said it's because there's too many I-129f...

On 08/27/13 my petition was approved, and on 09/05/13 I received the Noa2 hard copy in the mail...

I definitely think it's a good thing..

I got my message about the alien registration number on sept 3rd. About a week after my noa1 for the i129f... and about 3weeks after my noa1 for my i130. I'm two months pregnant so I'm praying for ASAP in my heart! LOL....however I AM realistically thinking somewhere in my brain.

Good luck everyone!!!
