Photocopy Question

So I see that I will need photocopies of the documents for the interview.

My main question is... how crazy do I go with the photocopying?

Do I need to photocopy EVERY page of everything? Or just the big certain things??

If I can just GIVE them certain things, Im guessing I don't have to?

For example, I don't need to keep the IRS transcripts, so do I need to make a photocopy of those?

I've made photocopies of the main pages of the bank statements, birth certificates,marriage certificate, ect...


Also - on a totally different note. I got notified today that my packet 3 forms couldn't be delivered to the address because it was non-deliverable due to no access? I double checked the address (Immigrant Visa Unit...London... ect... ) and everything was fine.

I called Royal mail and they told me to recall tomorrow cause sometimes they just say that when the road is down, ect...

Anyone had the same thing happen before???

Aug 30,2013 - Packet 3 Received and Sent (DS-230 Part I and II, DS-2001, and Cover Letter)

Sep 4th, 2013 - Medical

Sep 19, 2013 - Packet 4 Received

Sep 27,2013 - Interview - *approved*

Oct 02,2013 - Passport Packet Received (3 working days)

Oct 11th, 2013 - POE Los Angeles

Oct 21st, 2013 - SSN Received
Nov 14th, 2013 - Greencard Received

You only need to photocopy civil documents that you want back (such as your marriage certificate). You don't need to photocopy things such as IRS transcripts or even bank statements for that matter.

July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Agree. Photocopy anything you want back at the end of the interview. If you don't need it back, then just hand it over for them to keep.

No special deliveries would have been accepted today maybe because the embassy was closed.
