Hi guys,

My fiance's interview is on September 30th. Originally, I had decided to use a co-sponsor because I was working 3 part-time jobs and wanted to be on the safe side in terms of looking financially viable. However, I was recently offered a full time position that would cover the financial requirements for the k1 visa. The job starts on September 9th. I would be letting go of 2 of the part time jobs, which means working 1 part time job, and 1 ft job. I'm not sure how to reflect all of these changes on the I-134. Do I still need a sponsor? I don't have any paystubs from the job that starts on the 9th of September, but I have a signed letter from my employer stating the position, the salary, etc. Please let me know!

You don't need to indicate income you no longer have. The current income is short lived so I would submit the cosponsor to help ensure success.

Even if you have pay stubs it would only show a few weeks. Submit tax transcript to prove past income and tax status. Letter from job is ok but anyone could question it. What is important is your ability to prove support.

Go with the co sponsor, u cant tell Embassy that now u have ft job, n ur earning as per poverty line, bcoz it does not count until n unless u have earned all that in a year...this was same situation with my fiancee, we got co sponsor...Best of Luck

Not necessarily, I would say it would depend on the consulate. My fiance had only had his job for about 5 months when I went to my interview and that was fine.

But in the OP's case, I think the job would be too new and the co-sponsor would be the better option.

Thanks for all of the helpful responses. I am going to keep the cosponsor. I'm just concerned because I've already compiled paystubs and tax information for the jobs that I no longer work....Should I still submit these documents?

I had always heard that as long as you were earning the required amount at the time you filled in the I134 you;d be fine? Not an entire year's worth?

With Ghana you want to have 3 years tax transcripts... for both you and co-sponsor

Your interview is only 30 days away and your year to date on the full time job is going to show its new so i would stay with a co-sponsor and submit the old and new jobs. But really they want the transcripts in Accra

osted Today, 12:40 PM

http://www.dhl.com/e..._reference.html

Use this link for dhl's website. Under 'tracking' choose 'tracking by reference'

Enter EXP the day on which it was shipped minus a day, the first 3 letters of the month it was shipped and 2013A. For example, if it was shipped on the 2nd of September you would writeEXP 01 SEP 2013A

Under date range for shipment you can put one day before and one day after your package shipped.

Leave the account number blank and then enter Ghana as your country

I just used this method that you provided above to track my case (K-1 Visa) at DHL. It showed that it was delivered and signed on August 26th at the US Embassy in Accra Ghana. My question now is how does my fiancé get his packet 3? Does he have to go to the embassy without an appointment and inform them that he's there to take his packet 3? or Will the US Embassy in Ghana call him or mail the packet 3 to him? Please help? Thanks
