hmm Park Royal Saigon is really nice and only 4.5 km from the consulate and only about 2 km from the airport

I like the Oscar Siagon hotel. Reasonable rates, and I always get a nice room. Convenient location (just down the street from the Rex). Check out agoda for best rates.

233 Pham ngu lao... Elios Hotel.. I like it.. It is in the backpack section on the other side of the market from the consulate but for me its a nice clean place to stay... http://www.vietnamstay.com/hotel/elios/
