Question about warning notice

Hello VJ members? I just want to know if somebody could help me with my question. I just had an automobile accident recently and theres no injury or whatever. Me and the other car have both same insurance. ( one who hit me). But the police gave me a warning notice ( white paper with a failure to yield -turning left). On this white paper, there is no fine or court appearance needed .He also gave me a Illinois motorist report (red paper) to send to Illinois Department of Transportation (crash records section). My question is, do I need to mention it on my citizenship about good moral question there?

I dont want to be denied just because i never mentioned it on my citizenship. One thing, is this warning notice (white paper a ticket or citation???) pls enlightened me with this, because im still on state of shock because of that accident.

If you did not have to go to court or if there was no fine than you do not need to report it on N-400

No you don't have to because it will not even show on your record. There no charges against you. Good luck.

Thank you so much both for the quick replies ! ( Harsh_77 & Silkafi88). I have another question how about the red paper (Illinois Motorist Report .) The police told me to mail that to DOT- Department of Transportation - Crash Records section. What is all about? Im sorry i never had the chance to ask the officer because i was still on shock that time.

You don't have to worry about that either, I can't tell you what it is exactly because I never had one when I was involved in an accident. The officer might ask what happened, but as long as it's not related to DUI or DWI or records driving you don't have to worry about it. I mean your warning letter and the red won't even show on your record. I hope I helped. I'll check again to see if you have more questions I'll be glad to help you.

I checked what the motorist report was and you have to mail that within 10 days from the crash. I think it's for insurance purposes, it assesses how much the damages are if they were present. Which I think they were in your case that's why you got a red letter but it's nothing major. Now say you didn't mail it then it will become a misdemeanor and that gives you trouble with law and immigration. All my information eight here are from DOT in Illinois. Good luck.
