Help needed regarding affidavit of support in filing I-130 for my parents!

Hi,

Im filing petition I-130 for both my parents. The problem is I cant find a joint sponser.

But my father who is the beneficiary wants himself to become the joint sponser.

So is it possible to do so? And how much amount approximately does he need to have in his account in order to become eligible for sponsoring himself.

does your father have US income or assets ? If assets are they 5x the shortage ?

Well he earns in Pakistan. And assets are also here but they can be coverted to US currency and transfered to US. Then can he become eligible to become a joint sponser while being the beneficiary?

A Joint Sponsor must be over age 18 and be a US citizen or LPR.

Your father can not be the Joint Sponsor because he is neither a US citizen or an LPR.

It doesn't matter if he transfers money to the US. He could easily transfer it out the US. This simply does not matter because he is neither a USC or LPR.

The immigrant cannot be a joint sponsor. However, the immigrant's income and assets can already be counted directly in the affidavit of support.

However, for income it must be income that will continue after the immigrant has immigrated.
