We are pleased to inform you that the Immigrant Visa Unit of U.S. Embassy Moscow has received your approved visa petition and that your case is ready for processing.

You should now visit http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ru to complete the following steps: 1) arrange payment of the $240 visa fee; 2) enter an address to which the visa will be delivered; and 3) schedule your interview appointment. Once you pay the fee and specify the delivery address, you may schedule your interview for any available appointment slot. Please ensure that the date you select falls within four months of the date on which the visa petition was approved. Failure to do so may impact the validity of your visa petition.

Received this in an email from Moscow this morning. I went to the page they have listed and am really unsure of what I should do-

  • Do I need to register there to pay the fee?
  • If I do register do I do it as myself or with my Fiancé's information
  • Can I even pay the fee with my own credit card or do I need to have her do it?

Sorry in advance I didn't see this answer readily and was hoping someone could shed some light.

You do not need to register to pay the fee but I'd do it anyway. I registered for my Fiancée using her information. You can pay the fee for her but all the info requested by that step should be yours as it is credit-card related. BTW if your bank does not participate in the "verified by Visa" or the m/c equivalent then the charge may not go through.

Thank you, that was what I thought, I was just trying to figure out how they will know it is paid so that I can book the interview. The site is so sparse on details that it's a little frustrating.

When you get to the fee step you will enter the receipt number, pretty simple. The only gotcha is that if she has children coming with her you'll need to enter their info before you pay and make the interview appointment.

They don't care who pays as long as the correct fee is paid, so you can pay with all your own info. Just enter the payment receipt number when asked when scheduling the interview. Look on their page for example of where to find the receipt numbers depending on the way you paid:
