Today we had our interview in San Diego CA. We brought with us stacks of papers, originals and copies. We had our lease agreement, the house agreement for the house we are purchasing, bank account info, insurance cards, the whole lot.

We met with Margaret. She was very nice. She didn't look at any of the paperwork that we brought. She said that the documentation that we had submitted previously was very good. She particularly liked that we had included photos. The only questions she asked were the questions on the I-485 about if he had been jailed, etc. She asked if he had come in on a student visa or a work visa, which he had not. Then she stamped everything, said congrats, and that the green card will arrive soon.

My husband is now approved and we are very happy to have gotten through the process sucessfully.

Congratulations! Did you have your interview at the Chula Vista office or in downtown San Diego? We had to go all the way to Chula Vista (we live only 2 miles away from the downtown office), and I wasn't too happy, we were told everything looked good during the interview, but then I received an RFE 2 days after the interview. It seemed like they didn't check the documents properly before the interview... Anyway, I got approved 4 weeks later,so everything came out fine..

Quick question: Did the immigration officer take the I-94 from the passport? Thanks!
