Hello,

I am coming back to this forum since I did not find any similar case to mine. I entered the United States last year on a tourist visa, and before its expiration, I applied for an F-1 Student Visa. I got approved, and I have been going to school for 4 months now. While I was here, my mother received her green card through my sister who is a U.S. Citizen. We decided that instead of my sister applying for me, which might take years, my mother is going to apply for me since she is now a permanent resident. However, my question is, would I need to file all the applications the same way my mother did? (I-130, I-485, I-765) or do I need to file only the I-130 and wait for it to get approved? and until then, can I stop going to school while waiting for its approval? One last question is that when my I-130 is approved, should I just send the other forms automatically? Does anybody have an idea about the average wait time for the I-130 through family for a child under the age of 21?I am seventeen right now, and turning eighteen in a couple of months?

Thanks for your help, hope I was clear enough.
