Hi, we applied for the K1 visa in mid April and were approved on 7/25 (TSC via VSC). The problem is that my fiance bought a plane ticket to come to the US on a tourism visa on 7/23 (trip planned from 8/15-9/15).

How long is the NOA2 good for? (if we wait to schedule the medical and interview until after 9/15 when she returns to brazil, will that be okay?)

Should we consider canceling the tourism trip and just wait for the K1 procedure?

How long does it take for the case to go to NVC? and how long to the US embassy (i think we have to wait for them to send a package to the benefactor's home address)?

How much time does it take to schedule the medical and interview?

Thank you.

YAY approval. Normally NOA2 is good for 4 months. It takes up to 8 weeks to get a DOS number from the NVC. I don't know if you schedule your own interview or not in Brazil. But you likely have to schedule your own medical after the interview is scheduled. Check in your regional forum. I suggest putting off the trip until after, then you can just IMMIGRATE! :D

Generally speaking you can cancel or change flights, normally with a charge (about $150.)
