how long for an F-3 to get NVC/MNL case no. after approval?

Hi to all vj peeps! I am a beneficiary of an F-3 petition which was filed in 2006 (btw, how long does it usually take before you get an MNL case no. after getting your approval notice?)

I got my MNL case no. last June 2010 but my priority date had retrogressed in Dec. 2010. My PD had become current once again just recently. Do I have to wait for the packet to be mailed to me by NVC or can I submit the DS3032 form (electronically) already?

no payment done for IV fee yet since i haven't received any packet/checklist from NVC as of now. Can this be done in advance?

Note: mine is not a K1 case (don't know if there's a big difference in time frame). Would like to know what comes next after getting an NVC/MNL case no. when PD is already current?

You have to call NVC to know the EXACT status of your case. Be prepared to give your case#, petitioner's and beneficiary's name & dob.

You cannot just send documents as you please.

The DS-230 can only be mailed once you have paid the immigrant visa fee and you already have the immigrant visa cover sheet for your case.

Before you can pay for your IV fee, you need to be invoiced first. Same with the Affidavit Of Support fee and documents.
