Filed i130 & i485 in May - just received Green Card today

Hello All,

I wanted to share my experience with the visa journey community. This forum and tips helped me get a little over 4 month return from marriage and green card is in hand

I took the advice of the site and sent in all one time my i130, i1485, 1765, examination information, and evidence.

On april 17 I was married to my wife, and on May 3rd we mailed everything to the Chicago Lockbox with overnight shipping.

We received the work authorization card with the help of our local congresswoman in early June, and shortly after we had our interview scheduled for 7/14/ - we went we passed and we just got the card.

Thanks for the help everyone. If you have any questions please ask. I don't know of any response times of this speed but it took a lot of research a lot of follow up phone calls to USCIS and a help from our local congress.

She had a student visa. So I guess that's a F1?

Did you send copies of bank statements, health Insurance , Credit cards , Emails conversation along with your I-130/I-485 documents?

I heard that we should take them to the interview. If this can speed the process, i would also send all my documents too. which section would these documents fall into? I mean with I-130 or I-485?
