NOA2 notification on website: July 16th

August 1st (today) I notice a change in my status:

Post Decision Activity

On August 1, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

So it took a little over 2 weeks TO SEND... let's see how long it takes to get there... Anybody have their case number yet?

Trying to stay positive....

More than 4 weeks not sent yet! 7/3 NOA2.

Don't waste your time calling NVC... they don't help you! If you call DOS and press 0 for a representative (even if they don't give you that option) after zero delay a very nice lady tells you that she can enter NVC and USCIS database and she can tell you where your papers might be. I called a few days ago and she told me they were 'en route' from USCIS to NVC. Last night I got my 'your paperwork has been shipped' on my case status.

Also, once they make it to NVC, she told me she has the power to give you your case number!

the phone number is 202-663-1225

good luck!!

I've been calling DOS like you mentioned. They're very nice and helpful, but unfortunately as of this morning they still don't have it :(

If it has in fact been 4 weeks, you can call USCIS and ask to talk to a manager I think... and ask to know exactly where your papers are. I read that on the forum somewhere...

Good luck!!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi, a friend of mine got approved on the 07/12/2013; 2 weeks later she contacted NVC they said they haven't received anything from TSC. She contacted TSC they said they has transferred her file. She contacted VSC they said they transfer the file to TSC and they don't have responsible for it any more. She called NVC everyday but they said they did not receive any file. Last sunday she made an infopass and they told her the file is still at TSC. TSC has shipped the first batch out and the second batch was still stuck there. Her file may be in the bottom of the box so it was still at TSC.
