Any military sponsors out there for K-1 petition?

I'm wondering what kind of info other military sponsors have supplied for the affidavit and financial proof for the K-1. Is the LES (Leave and earnings statement) sufficient? My fiance seems to think that it would be silly to ask his Commanding Officer for a letter of employement because the LES clearly indicates his rank (O3E) which means that he is full time military. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Thanks for your help!

I gave them my husbands very last LES and they asked for the employment letter as well as the bank letter so I don't think there is any way to get around this for him. They didn't care for the Tax returns and W2's but all the other stuff had to be shown. good luck.

 Same here.... employment letter is a must, even though the LES already indicate the full time job. USCIS likes to keep us busy

I have both but I was told the Proof of Service letter on the USAF letter head signed by my CC was enough. I will update the letter when we get an interview date. I assume everyone stating a letter is needed by the Commander has been to through the interview process already. Ken & Maria

Awesome, thanks guys. My fiance just sent me an email copy of what the statement of service looks like, and he's going to get it signed by the CO. That with his latest LES, we should be good to go? I told him to get it on USN letterhead :P
