I am filing AOS package next month.

My sponsor for I 864 is my husband who is currently a student.

Our I-864 status:

-He has sufficient income from his internship this year. But his job is temporary as its an internship.

- He has tax returns for all past years with income > poverty guideline

- I (the applicant) have sufficient permanent income > poverty guideline and tax returns

- We have stocks, bonds to show additional information

My question is, should we find a joint sponsor just to be on the safe side as the primary sponsor's income is not permanent?

Or can I just use our household income safely?

If you have a job that will continue after you become a permanent resident, then you can provide proof it will continue and safely add your income with your USC spouse to meet the requirement.
